Object snap modes
Which snap kinds are offered while picking points. F3 toggles snapping as a whole.
Perpendicular and tangent need a start point — they measure from the point you are drawing from. Nearest is off by default: it hits on any nearby entity, which makes free placement hard.
Export G-code (CAM)
Multi-contour jobs, pockets, drilling and laser. Inner contours are cut before outer ones.

Hand vs Select vs Lasso
- Select / S
- Default tool. Arrow cursor. Click = select, plain drag = rectangular marquee (L→R window, R→L crossing) — never pans; ⇧ drag = freehand lasso
- Hand / H
- Grab cursor. Drag empty = pan, drag a selected object = move, click = select. Middle-drag pans in any tool; hold Space for temporary Hand.
- Lasso / V
- Crosshair. Plain drag = freehand lasso (L→R window, R→L crossing) — never pans; ⇧ drag = rectangular marquee
- drag member
- Dragging any member of a multi-selection moves the WHOLE selection as one unit (one undo)
- drag grip
- Edit an endpoint / vertex / radius / center (osnap + Tab-to-type)
